Ukulele Crash Course

Everyone should take this class! It’s fun, friendly, and a great way to learn an EASY, travel-friendly instrument. This comprehensive class offers a fundamental approach to learning the ukulele for students of varied musical backgrounds. Under the caring eye of CCM faculty member Phil Sargent, students will be involved with and exposed to performance situations, some practical applications of music theory, and the basic care and maintenance of their instruments.

We guarantee you'll play at least three popular songs before the session ends (Singing is optional but encouraged!) You will progress at a speedy pace, learning to play through popular music ranging from the Beatles through B.B. King, Lady Gaga to George Gershwin. Learning the Uke is easy, and it's something different to do after work, or school or around a campfire with family and friends. Everyone knows that all the cool kids play the ukulele! You will need to bring your own Ukulele. Specific recommendations coming soon. We recommend that you purchase a clip-on electronic tuner and a metronome. We’ll cover this in class.
