Bring your favorite tune, your instrument, and open ears to CCM’s Monthly Jazz Jam, where faculty member Giuseppe Paradiso sets the stage for musical collaboration, exploration, and enjoyment, and provides a space where all jazz musicians will feel at home. This monthly gathering welcomes players of all levels to join the house rhythm section, request songs, and build new musical friendships.
Walk in or sign up in advance to provide background such as your instrument and playing experience, as well as any song requests you have.

Please sign up in advance; walk-ins are welcome. For the most positive experience, we recommend knowing at least one jazz standard, blues, or funk tune, and having a basic level of improvisation.

Through engaging demonstrations and hands-on experimentation, you’ll learn the core concepts behind jazz harmony and try out ideas on our provided keyboards. Whether you play classical, jazz, or are simply curious about how music is built, this class offers an inviting, creative space to explore how harmony works.
No background in jazz is required—just curiosity and a willingness to play!
Prerequisites: For pianists of all levels, ages 15 to adult. No prior jazz experience is needed.
Tuesdays (Starting June 15), 12:00 – 1:00 pm
CCM’s Guitar & Mandolin Study Group is a flexible, intermediate-level workshop where flatpickers can hone their instrumental technique and expand their musical toolbox alongside folks with similar goals. Sessions will focus on right-hand exercises, nuanced rhythm playing, improvisation, and ear training to connect what we hear with what we play.
