Fun with Music Making

Ages 8–13 | No experience needed 

Is your child constantly humming a new tune or obsessed with the latest sounds? Turn that curiosity into a masterpiece in our state-of-the-art Media Lab! Using GarageBand, students will dive into the world of professional loops, custom beats, and sound design. This is a high-energy, low-pressure environment where kids build the confidence to say, “I made that!” Perfect for the next generation of music creators.

• Days and Times: Mondays (April 27 – May 18, 4 weeks) , 6:00 – 6:45 pm (45 min)

My First Song in GarageBand

Ages 13–adults | No experience needed

From a blank screen to a finished track! In this 4-week intensive, students step into the role of a Music Producer. We’ll deconstruct how hits are built—from layering rhythms to arrangement—and guide each student as they compose their very first original song. By the final session, they’ll have a polished digital file ready to share with friends and family. It’s the “test drive” for our full-season Media Lab programs!
