Who Should Apply
Applicants must be enrolled in high school or college for Fall 2025.
Prospective candidates should possess a deep passion for music, a keen interest in inspiring others through music, and a strong desire to acquire mentorship skills under the guidance of the program coordinator and experienced instructors in a supportive environment.
Learning Outcome
Through assisting CCM instructors, Assistants will learn how to teach and mentor young strings students and how to foster a positive, engaging, and nurturing learning environment. They will also have the opportunity to lead one of the educational morning meetings.
Assistants will develop excellence in communication, teamwork, compassion, patience, and function as a role model for young music students. They must uphold positive working relationships with students and instructors, adhering to instructions from the program coordinator, their assigned instructor, and the policies and procedures of Concord Conservatory of Music.

Assistants will attend a pre-program orientation meeting, have a 30-minute one-on-one meeting with the program coordinator and participate in a group meeting during the week. Regular communication will be maintained among the coordinator, instructors, and assistants.
*Your audition video should include a piece from the standard repertoire for your instrument that best represents your current level of playing. An accompanist is encouraged, but not required. Please also include a three-minute personal introduction to tell us who you are and why you are interested in becoming an Assistant for the CCM Summer String Experience.
