Policies

CCM is committed to making every student’s experience meaningful and enjoyable. Please contact us with any questions or concerns.

Accessibility

The school building complies with ADA public accessibility standards.

Tuition

Private lessons: 25% tuition deposit is required at the time of registration along with a $45 annual registration fee. Remaining tuition is due by August 23 for the fall semester and full tuition is due by January 15 for spring semester. Students entering after the start of a semester will be charged on a pro-rated basis for the duration of the semester. Please refer to the Private Lessons page for rate information.

Classes and ensembles: Tuition and registration fee are due at time of registration. Please refer to the specific program for rates.

Students wishing to be considered for financial assistance should contact the School Director or refer to the Financial Assistance page for more information.

Overdue Accounts

Overdue accounts will be subject to a $70 late fee.

Withdrawals and Refunds

Any request to withdraw from classes or lessons must be made in writing to the Concord Conservatory of Music. Verbal requests will not be honored. In extreme cases involving serious illness, death, or relocation, arrangements for credit or refund can be made at the discretion of the School Director.

Private lessons: Prorated refunds for private lessons may be requested only within the three weeks following the student’s first lesson. 75% of the full tuition is refunded if notice is given before the fourth lesson of the term. 25% of full tuition is non-refundable.

Classes or ensembles: Refunds are given for group classes and ensembles only if the withdrawal is made in writing 14 business days before the first day of the class. A 15% withdrawal fee will be charged.

If a class is canceled due to insufficient enrollment, full tuition and registration fee (if applicable) will be refunded.

Missed Lessons, Classes, and Ensembles

Private lesson students are charged for all lessons or classes for which they register, including those missed through student absence. Please directly notify the instructor of any impending absence from lessons. If a faculty member is absent for a lesson, ensemble or group class, a make-up will be scheduled at a mutually convenient time, or a substitute instructor may teach the lesson.

  • Private lesson make-ups due to instructor absence are given at the end of each semester.
  • There are no make-ups for student absence from group/ensemble instruction.
  • Make-ups for weather or emergency cancellations are given in June.
  • Missed make-up sessions will not be rescheduled.

Weather and Emergency Cancellations

The Concord Conservatory of Music does not always follow the Concord Public Schools cancellation decisions. In case of inclement weather or emergency, cancellations will be announced on CCM’s website, and an email blast will be sent to all students.

Make-ups due to weather or emergency cancellation are limited to one day per year, and are held in June. Students who withdraw prior to the June make up-period will forfeit the weather make-up date.

Building Use

CCM’s lease agreement with the West Concord Union Church forbids food and drink in the classrooms. Please refrain from using the church materials stored in the various classrooms. Thank you for your cooperation and consideration.

Non-Discrimination

Concord Conservatory of Music does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, sex, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, marital or veteran status, or age in its admissions, education programs, activities or employment practices.
