Did you know that the refrain from The Beatles’ Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds uses the same chord progression that Mozart used in all of his music?

Delve into the burning questions you’ve had about the music you listen to, play, or sing by discovering its origins, the geographical, cultural, and political influences of artists and their music, and its relevance to our contemporary world and the music being created today.

Join CCM faculty member Lautaro Mantilla as he unwraps each week’s musical selections. Whether you are an active concertgoer, study an instrument, or enjoy listening to music, this music appreciation class is a wonderful way to expand your knowledge and find greater joy and enlightenment in your musical experience. You are guaranteed to hear music differently by the end of the session.
