Strings students enhance their ensemble skills, creativity, and build their comprehensive musicianship through a holistic approach in a nurturing environment. Smaller class sizes cultivate a close-knit community and provide opportunity for individualized attention and increased participation. Strings students at the beginner and intermediate levels, ages 6-14, will be placed in the appropriate group based on a short placement audition video.
Session 1: July 14 – July 18, 9:00 am–3:00 pm
Session 2: August 4 – August 8, 9:00 am–3:00 pm
Optional aftercare, 3:00 – 5:00 pm
Ages 5 – 8, 9 – 12
Without having to commit to one instrument, kids embark on a week-long discovery of a variety of instruments, including strings, piano, and winds in a fun group environment. While learning the unique sounds and personalities of each instrument, students develop introductory musicianship skills, such as rhythm, pulse, and the rudiments of reading music.
Register for both programs by May 1st.
