Rhythmic Laboratory for Adults and Teens

Strengthen your rhythmic precision, expand your musical vocabulary, and deepen your creative toolkit in this focused class for intermediate adult musicians. Ideal for instrumentalists, vocalists, composers, arrangers, songwriters, producers, and DJs, the course builds practical, applicable rhythmic fluency through listening, analysis, reading, writing, and ensemble rhythm work.

You’ll explore pulse and time signatures, subdivisions, syncopation, odd meters and groupings, rhythmic ear training and transcription, basic polyrhythms, and the claves that shape styles across pop, funk, folk, world music, Latin, and jazz. Creative applications and guided rhythmic improvisation help you bring these concepts directly into your own musical practice.

Designed for adults with basic music‑reading skills and familiarity with note values, this class supports anyone ready to refine their timing, broaden their rhythmic understanding, and unlock new creative ideas.
