Chatham Rabbits is the North Carolina-based duo of Sarah and Austin McCombie, partners in life and music whose intimate songwriting and mesmerizing on-stage chemistry have captivated audiences across the country.
Beginning in the traditions of bluegrass and old-timey music, Sarah (banjo, vocals) and Austin (guitar, vocals) have seamlessly stretched their roots into the vibrant garden of Americana and indie-folk. Their sound is defined by gorgeous, irresistible harmonies, compassionate lyrics, and instrumentation that moves effortlessly.
The duo’s music is known for its quiet joy, vulnerability, and ability to explore life’s biggest challenges through simple, tuneful songs.
Their fourth and most personal album, Be Real With Me (released February 14, 2025), marks a sonic leap forward, blending their signature acoustic finesse with new textures and a matured lyrical focus on coming-of-age, partnership, and finding strength in connection. The album has been widely praised for its fresh melodic chemistry and courageous honesty.
From the quiet, reflective contemplation of songs like “Facing 29” to the joyous energy of their live show, Chatham Rabbits possess the magical songwriting gift that feel like they have always been there. Their compelling music explores everything from the strength they draw from one another—as captured in their Paste Magazine “Top Folk Song of 2020,” “Oxen”—to the peace and occasional chaos of life on their working farm.
Join us for an evening of truly original and soulful music presented with the intimacy and warmth that only Chatham Rabbits can deliver.
