Early Childhood, Flute

Weronika Balewski is a flutist and educator dedicated to creating engaging musical experiences that connect us to ourselves and to each other. She is a certified teacher of Dalcroze Eurhythmics, a social, joyful, movement-based approach to learning music. Weronika loves to bring her performance experiences into her teaching, inviting students to find happiness in sharing music with others. She says, “I give my students opportunities to create their own music and have fun. I only teach music which I love, and music which will help my students thrive and make progress.”

She’s determined to find the right level of challenge and the repertoire that will motivate each student. Weronika explains, “I support each student in developing a resonant beautiful sound, rhythmic clarity, aural skills in melody and harmony to support expressive phrasing, and the practicing skills that help them progress and learn.” She creates musical communities for students through masterclasses, group classes, ensembles, and performance opportunities.

Weronika is the flutist and co-founder of Marvento Duo and performs on modern and Baroque flute with various chamber, orchestra, and educational projects. She is the winner of the Brookline Symphony Concerto Competition and collaborates regularly with Multiverse Concert Series on community events combining musical performances, scientific lectures, and activities for children and families.

Weronika is an instructor and Director of Development at Integral Steps and has taught at Epstein Hillel School, Suzuki School of Newton, Making Music Matters! in Boston Public Schools, and has given workshops across the country to children and adults.

Weronika holds degrees in Flute Performance from Carnegie Mellon University and the Longy School of Music of Bard College and obtained her Dalcroze Certificate from the Longy School of Music.

When not listening, playing, or teaching music, Weronika loves to bake, hike, and host dinner parties.

“I love music and I want to share that love with others! My goal is to teach each student to be their own teacher. No matter what their level, students will make the quickest progress when they learn not only in the private lesson but also in every practice session, rehearsal, and performance.”
