Beyond the classical stage, she frequently ventures into pop, rock, and film scoring, having collaborated with world-renowned artists such as Michael Bublé, Josh Groban, Evanescence, and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Recently, she performed the soundtrack to the Stardew Valley video game, an experience that highlighted her love for the enthusiastic, high-energy connection between performer and audience.
As a dedicated educator, Dr. Labinska also serves on the faculty at the College of the Holy Cross and the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra. Her teaching philosophy is highly customized, focusing on helping students reach their full artistic potential through tension-free playing, proper posture, and the development of effective practice habits. Having grown up in a musical family and studied under great pedagogues, she is committed to making music an enriching part of every student’s life.
Aleksandra holds a Doctorate and Master’s degree from Boston University, where she studied under Yuri Mazurkevich, following her undergraduate work at the Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music and the University of Toronto. Whether she is performing with the Virtuoso Soloists of New York or recording for Naxos and WGBH, Aleksandra’s goal remains the same: to offer a fresh perspective that inspires the next generation of musicians.
