Rasa Vitkauskaite

Rasa VitkauskaitePiano

In her career as a world class soloist and chamber musician, Rasa Vitkauskaite is a pianist of “exceptional musicality and skill” – as noted by Fanfare magazine. Rasa currently serves as the pianist for the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, as a member of the Xonor Trio (along with CCM faculty Yumi Okada, and cellist Igancy Grezlazka), and as piano faculty at CCM. As a teacher Rasa enjoys creating an approach that is sensitive to the abilities of each student. She enjoys not only helping them to become proficient at the piano, but also challenging their musical curiosity and making their musical education holistic. Among many other things, Rasa teaches her students how to practice efficiently and effectively, develop technical confidence, learn diverse repertoire, and learn about the context of the music they play.  Rasa finds that she is influenced and inspired most by her fellow collaborative musicians – she is fascinated by her learning and growth with each new project.
