Our annual faculty and staff kickoff meeting brought our entire team together to set our vision for the fall. Between discussing goals and refining processes for a smooth school year, we welcomed new team members and enjoyed a rare moment for everyone across all schedules to connect in person. We’re feeling energized and ready for a wonderful semester!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Fall Open Houses! We were thrilled to see so many new and returning faces exploring our hallways, trying out instruments, and discovering the joy of making music together.
Every conversation, instrument tryout, and new connection is a reminder that music has the power to bring people together. When a child picks up an instrument for the first time or a family discovers a shared musical interest, the possibilities are endless. Because of our generous supporters and community partners, CCM continues to be a welcoming place where people of all ages can learn, create, and connect through music.
Some of the most meaningful musical growth happens when we learn alongside others. While private lessons build individual skills, group classes create opportunities for collaboration, creativity, and connection.
In a world that often feels increasingly busy and disconnected, making music together offers something rare: the chance to listen, contribute, and belong. Students encourage one another, celebrate progress together, and experience the satisfaction of creating something larger than themselves.
At CCM, we believe music can enrich every stage of life. Whether a child is discovering rhythm for the first time or an adult is picking up a ukulele for a new challenge, learning music keeps us curious, engaged, and growing.
As the ways people create and experience music continue to change, CCM continues to expand how we teach, learn, and connect through music.
Programs such as Digital Music Production, GarageBand in the Media Lab, Intro to Jazz, and Rhythmic Labs reflect our commitment to offering multiple pathways into music making. By embracing new technologies and diverse musical styles while honoring traditional foundations, we help students develop skills that are both relevant and creative.
Our goal is simple: to ensure that every learner can find a place where they feel inspired, challenged, and welcomed. Through innovative programming, CCM remains a dynamic home for music education and community engagement.

Jei Yern Ryu (Faculty, L): We are pleased to welcome pianist Jei Yern Ryu to our teaching faculty! Bringing rich performance experience and a passionate approach to mentorship, Jei Yern embodies our commitment to exceptional music education.
Steve Camp (Board President, R): We are honored to welcome Steve Camp as CCM’s new Board President. His commitment to community engagement and the arts will help guide CCM as we continue to expand educational opportunities and deepen our local impact.
Kicking off Our 2026–2027 CCM Concert & Speaker Series with Music & Beer!

Imagine taking a sip of a crisp pale ale just as a violin strikes a bright, shimmering high note. Suddenly, the acidity in the brew feels a little vibrant, and the music feels a little sharper, elevating both the sound and the flavor into something entirely new.
It turns out that a masterfully crafted beer and a brilliant piece of music have far more in common than meets the eye! Both rely on a delicate balance of structure, nuance, and timing. On Friday, October 2nd, CCM invites you to experience this remarkable intersection of sound and taste firsthand.
A Sensory Journey Led by Visionary Craftsmen
The evening brings together two masters of their respective crafts: Keith Kirchoff, CCM faculty member, pianist, and founder of the renowned Original Gravity Concert Series and Allen Quinn, co-owner and brewer at Armory’s Tomb.
Together, Keith and Allen have curated a multi-sensory program where every musical selection is intentionally paired with a specific craft beer. Joined by award-winning musicians and CCM Faculty members, Angel Valchinov, Joseph Cracolici, with guest Ai-Ying Chiu, will guide audiences through a series of musical and tasting pairings that reveal surprising connections between what we hear and what we taste.
Whether you are a craft beer enthusiast, a devoted concertgoer, or simply curious about new experiences, Music & Beer offers a welcoming and engaging way to connect with both music and community.
