Harmolodic Microjam, a jazz concert

Friday, December 1, 7:30 PM

If you love jazz, you won’t want to miss this amazing event that explores the boundaries of musical expression. You will hear how jazz can incorporate influences from different cultures and traditions, creating a new sound that is both innovative and captivating.

The innovative Harmolodic approach of experimental free jazz, created by the famous horn player Ornette Coleman, combines rock music with microtonal aspects from the Middle East, Asia, India, and Eastern Europe, creating a new harmonic and rhythmic vocabulary that reflects the rich variety of world music.

The performers are electric guitarist David Fiuczynski, keyboardist Dave Bryant, percussionist Gyeongseo Mean, bass player Anderson Mirafzali, and CCM artist faculty Tsuyoshi Honjo on saxophone.
