Music For Every Stage of Life

Music has a remarkable way of meeting us right where we are. Whether it’s a toddler discovering rhythm for the first time, a teen finding their unique creative voice, or an adult returning to a long-cherished passion after decades away, making music is a lifelong journey.

Beyond the pure joy of playing, research continues to show that learning an instrument provides profound health and wellness benefits at every stage of life. For young learners, music builds focus, confidence, emotional resilience, and cognitive development. For adults, it offers a proven outlet for stress relief, creative expression, and sharp brain health. Most importantly, making music together fosters deep community connections, reminding us that it is never too early, and never too late to play.

This season, we asked ourselves how we could make our community events even more meaningful, welcoming, and accessible for everyone. As our programs grow, we want to ensure every visitor receives an experience tailored specifically to their goals. That is why we are shaking things up this fall by hosting two distinct Open Houses, intentionally designed around where you or your child are on your musical path!

Creating separate events for Kids & Teens and Adults allows us to offer much more intentional, tailored environments. Young families will enjoy hands-on instrument trials, interactive demo classes, and direct interaction with early childhood and youth faculty. Adults can look forward to a relaxed, pressure-free evening dedicated to open jam sessions, ensemble previews, and conversations about fitting music into a busy routine.

My very first experience playing the cello was at an open house just like CCMs that was held at my hometown music school when I was 6 years old. A memorable night for me even at that young age, I was able to not only test out a wide range of instruments, but also take some meaningful first steps towards understanding how to make a good sound on the cello with the support of the school’s faculty and my parents.” — Joe Cracolici, CCM Cello Faculty

As our community grows, so does our footprint. We are thrilled to expand our discovery experience across both our main campus at 1317 Main Street and our new CCM 2 location at 15 Junction Square Drive. This expansion gives our programs room to breathe, providing more of the music-making opportunities you have asked for.   The dedicated spaces for specialized labs and ensembles, and provides students with state-of-the-art facilities to practice, collaborate, and thrive.

We invite you to a supportive musical home where every student is seen, encouraged, and inspired.

This fall, you and your family can explore new musical paths, step inside our expanded spaces at CCM 2, and experience the heart of our community firsthand.
