Bobby Britt Received his Bachelor of Music from Berklee College of Music in the American Roots Music Program and received the Fletcher Bright Award, the largest scholarship in the Berklee String Department.  At Berklee, Bobby studied under Matt Glaser, Darol Anger, Bruce Molsky, Jason Anick, Simon Shaheen, and Rob Thomas.  Bobby has taught multiple fiddle workshops at Joe Val Bluegrass Festival,  Northwest String Summit in Oregon(with Darol Anger and Alex Hargreaves), Northern Lights Old Time and Bluegrass Festival in Saskatchewan Canada, bluegrass workshop with Berklee faculty member Joe Walsh in Paris, France, and in Utrecht, Netherlands. He has 14 years of professional touring and recording experience, playing bluegrass and roots music all over the world. Bobby was born and raised in Chapel Hill North Carolina, a hotbed for bluegrass and roots music.  He has a deep understanding of the style and is passionate about sharing the music with his students.

Bobby also has a background in the Suzuki Method, which informs his teaching style. Bobby puts the emphasis on playing by ear, learning classic bluegrass and fiddle tune melodies and using them as a basis for improvisation, a strong rhythmic foundation, and learning how to be a dynamic and sensitive member of any musical ensemble.
