Coronavirus Update

Covid-19 Response and RecommendationsJuly 15, 2020

To our CCM families, faculty, and friends,

The health and safety of all members of our Concord Conservatory of Music community is our priority.

We are currently planning for a hybrid approach for re-opening with a tentative start date for onsite private lesson instruction the week of September 8th.   We are preparing for both onsite and Distance Learning.  New protocols are being put in place for social distancing, cleaning and sanitizing air purification, and program adjustments.  In the meantime, we are committed to our Distance Learning platform to continue serving our students.

You will make the decision about which means of receiving instruction is best for your family. Our decision as to when and how to re-open will be based on recommendations from the CDC, the State of Massachusetts, and local officials.  If at any point, we need to continue/move to distance learning platforms we would like to share the following:

If the Concord Conservatory of Music closes for in-person teaching due to recommendations made by the CDC, local officials, and the State of Massachusetts, we will move all of our programs to our distance learning platforms.  CCM recognizes the importance of high-quality music education, and will only be offering those classes that can be transitioned to online.

What you can do?

The Massachusetts DPH has recommended the following habits to prevent COVID-19 and other illnesses:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
  • Clean things that are frequently touched (like doorknobs and countertops) with household cleaning spray or wipes
  • Cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze. Use a tissue or your inner elbow, not your hands
  • Stay home if you are sick and avoid close contact with others

CCM is committed to keeping you updated on our response regarding COVID-19. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
