We're kicking off our concert season early, with our first concert Friday, September 19th at 7:00 pm with the Xonor Trio, who will perform works by Beethoven, Piazzolla, and Mendelssohn.
The Xonor Trio includes CCM faculty Yumi Okada, violin, and piano faculty Rasa Vitkauskaite, with cellist Ignacy Gzelazka. Xonor Trio was founded in 2009, the same year it won the Chamber Music Honors Competition at the Boston Conservatory. The trio members are all highly accomplished musicians and winners of multiple international competitions. They play in the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, Boston Modern Orchestra Project, Ars Nova Chamber Orchestra in Washington DC, Vermont Symphony Orchestra, and the Back Bay Chorus Orchestra. Since its creation, the trio has performed all over New England. On their own, the members of the trio have won prestigious competitions and headlined with a host of orchestras across the globe. Together, they are a sensitive and exciting ensemble with a breadth of groundbreaking repertoire.
